I have lots of stuff to blog but getting here has been a task, lately! We have LOTS of album designs going on right now and our wonderful clients come first!
I usually enter several prints and several albums in WPPI’s (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) annual print and album competition. This annual competition is the largest in the world by a long shot. However, this year we were SOOOOO busy that I let the deadline blow right by without getting my prints ready. I entered only one (yes that’s it…1) album but I feel pretty good about it! The judging is SUNDAY!!! We do this so we can stay on the cutting edge of photography in the world and so far the work that we’ve entered has been judged as some of the top in the world…we’ve have had some top three finishes. Now I’ve probably just jinxed my album LOL.
I have also been perusing some local photog blogs/websites/Facebook to see what the competition is up to. The only reason that I mention this is that I’ve seen images posted on blogs, facebook, etc. that were taken by someone else – not the photographers themselves….HUH???? What’s that about? I can assure everyone that the images on our website and blog are all images that we took….except for my own wedding photos taken 30 years ago LOL. Nothing pinned or borrowed from anyone else. Oh well, signs of the times, I suppose.
